The successful Case manager candidate will be responsible for Utilization Review, Discharge Planning, Care Coordination and Social Service Functions. Clinical Documentation also reports to this position. In summary, the Case Manager Director directs, establishes and plans the overall policies and goals for the Case Management Depa rtment, including operational supervision of all utilization management and social work functions. Key requirements for this Director of Case Management opportunity are : a Registered Nurse ( RN ) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). We would prefer a Master of Science (MSN) in Nursing or other healthcare related Master’s Degree. We also require skill in InterQual and/or Milliman criteria and previous management of multidisciplinary department. Of course, you will have to be licensed as a Registered Nu rse in Washington State. A Certification in Case Management is preferred. Specifically needed is: five (5) years recent clinical experience in a hospital setting and experience in a management/leadership position within a healthcare organization; three (3) years’ experience in case management, discharge planning and/or utilization review experience.
