Our OPERATING ROOM has outstanding opportunities for a 100% full-time SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST . Under general supervision, the Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical and nursing staff by preparing the Operating Room for surgical procedures. The position will obtain and assemble sterile instruments and supplies; scrub and assist the surgical team during the surgical procedure; stock the room with appropriate supplies; maintain special equipment; provide for clean-up and reprocessing of used instruments and supplies, and other duties as assigned.

Competitive candidates will enjoy working in a technological, fast-paced, and exciting department. This position will utilize knowledge of operations of individual pieces of equipment, skillfully maintain instruments and supplies to meet the demands of the department. Inherent to success in this position is organization, desire to work in a team-oriented academic medical setting, capability to stay abreast of current developments relevant to the position, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledgeable with the duties of a Surgical Technologist.

Requirements:
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program AND one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment OR equivalent education/experience.

Legal Requirement - Registered by the State of Washington as a Surgical Technologist, or licensed in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or Physician.

Desired:
Trauma OR experience preferred.
