SUMMARY
Reporting to a Director of Sales, the Extremities Sales Representative is! responsible for exceeding sales quota within an assigned territory by driving the market acceptance of Smith & Nephew products.
The position requires the ability to assimilate and deliver a high level of technical information as it relates to extremities products and to sell their advantages over the competition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops and Implements business plan under the direction of DOS.
Achieves sales quotas by driving incremental market share of products sold in assigned area.
Convert key surgeons to product and technique by using a high level of technical and surgical knowledge through a consultative sales approach.
Continuously assesses the customer base to identify new business opportunities.
Develops a targeted sales strategy with DOS to ensure follow up.
Provides technical and logistical advice to customers to help achieve the sales objectives in assigned direct sales territories.

Establishes, develops and maintains field contact with ke! y orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists, hospitals personnel (or staff â" supply chain â" admin), and associated clinic staff.
Conducts Orthopedic and Podiatric âIn-Service Training Programsâ and other Med Ed Programs at hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, and applicable clinics as scheduled and required.
Develops rapport with personnel at target hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers within specific areas, with an emphasis on extremity specialists (Lower Extremity / Foot & Ankle), Upper Extremity (Hand & Wrist / Elbow).
Acquires in-depth knowledge of the key products and competitor offerings.
Stays up-to-date with clinical publications and developments as related to targeted product line.
Responsible for field inventory and sales samples as assigned.
Establish regular performance evaluations to ensure targeted development of the essential quantitative and qualitative metrics for territory growth (technical / cli! nical / procedural / relational / financial).
Acts as a liaison between customer and S&N cross functional support services.
Works in conjunction with Trauma Specialists to maximize territory opportunities.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Travel -Domestic - Up to 75%
Education
Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or related field.
Experience
Minimum 2 years direct sales experience, preferably in medical device industry.
Experience with selling product or technology to multiple call points in the hospital, including surgeons, nursing and administration.

High degree of self-motivation coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Demonstrated success using teamwork, working with customers, vendors and cross fun! ctional internal teams.
