The purpose of this posit! ion is to maximize the role of nursing in the daily operations! of ambulatory primary care services. This position will hire, manage, coach and develop the ambulatory nursing personnel at the clinic sites. This position may also directly supervise other patient care and ancillary staff based in the clinics and reporting up to the clinic leadership. The Manager, Clinic Nurse collaborates with clinic leadership in the management and delivery of patient care services in support of Virginia Masons mission, vision and values.
Ensures smooth flow of operations by directing the work of clinic nursing staff, ancillary and other patient care positions. Designates patient care assignments and evaluates staff for clinical excellence in care and service. Acts as a resource for nursing and patient care staff for daily operations.
Proactively supports effective communications between front line staff, clinic leadership and ambulatory nursing leadership that results in effective clinic, operations and patient satisfaction outcomes. !
With clinic leadership, ensures the management of clinic schedules (provider, nursing, and other ancillary) for maximum efficiency to meet demand.
Builds an effective nursing team by recruiting, hiring, training, providing feedback and supervision to nursing staff. Conducts performance feedback, competency assessments and performance correction, as needed. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to provide safe and effective nursing care.
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of standard work, lean initiatives and department goals in partnership with clinic manager.
