NURSE, RN2, PERI-OP 101 (O.R. RESIDENCY)

Description: University of Washington is presently looking of NURSE, RN2, PERI-OP 101 (O.R. RESIDENCY) right now, this position will be placed in Washington. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Harborview Medical Center invites you to pursue an Operating Room nursing career.
Our Peri-Op 101 residency program provides ! an opportunity for training as an operating room nurse in our Level 1 trauma center. Harborview's 26 OR suites give operating room nurses the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of high acuity and emergent OR cases. This educational opportunity will be facilitated by Harborview's O.R. education staff of highly experienced nurses.
Harborview is a level one trauma center and regional burn center for a four state region; a teaching & research hospital for the University of Washington; and a public/safety-net hospital for our diverse community.
Positions would be full time; shifts would be variable (flexibility with variable shifts would be required, initially including some nights, eves, days, & week-ends).
Current recruitment plan is for a Sept. 2013 employment start date.
**Please note - if hired for an O.R. position via the Peri-Op 101 residency program, there would be a minimum three year commitment expectation to the O.R. posit! ion (i.e. prior to eligibility for applying for any additional! internal opportunities with any other areas).
Requirements:
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
(Note - if you are a current Harborview nurse, and had hired to Harborview as an entry level RN previously, you must have at least two years of RN work experience on the initial unit you hired to. And - current HMC internal experienced nurse applicants must have at least one year in their current unit.)
External applicants (both experienced RNs as well as entry level RNs) are also welcome to apply.
Entry level RNs are welcome to submit your employment application prior to obtaining RN licensure; Washington RN license issuance would be required to begin employment in RN position).
