Description of Responsibilities
The Area Manager is responsible for organizing directing day to day activities in his or her assigned area.
Reporting Relationship
Operations Manager
Scope of Supervision
CSAs within assigned area (Seattle, Portland, Sacramento)
Responsibilities of the Area Manager include the following:
Associates
1. Ensures associates are working efficiently and taking care of the customer.
2. Manages associate schedules and coverage. Approves PTO.
3. Addresses associate issues and concerns. Escalate to appropriate person.
4. Counsels associates on performance issues.
5. Notifies associates and others of positive feedback about the associate.
6. Trains and men! tors on new policies and procedures.
7. Ensures conformanc! e by associates to all company policies and procedures.
8. Shadows associates periodically to ensure quality and conformance.
Customers
9. Take customer calls that are escalated from the CSA or other management.
10. Monitor each customer facility with periodic checks for any issues or questions.
11. Promote the company to customers.
Policies and Procedures
12. Works with other management to develop policies and procedures.
13. Implements policies and procedures and ensures associates understand.
Fleet
14. Ensures fleet vehicles are well maintained.
15. Ensures vehicles have proper shelving, safety equipment and tools.
16. Approves preventative maintenance under $250.
17. Analyzes and adjusts routes and vehicle usage to maximize fuel economy and time.
Warehouse/Storage
18. Ensures that warehouse, storage and office spaces are kept clean, organized, and safe.
19. Implements processes and procedures for storing eq! uipment, handling broken equipment and turning around equipment.
20. Works with purchasing to ensure proper inventory of equipment, supplies and spare parts.
General Management
21. Backs up CSA in emergencies.
22. Keeps all sensitive information confidential.
23. Coordinates with management to ensure policies and procedures are consistent across the whole company.
24. Works cooperatively with other area managers when necessary to address coverage, inventory and any other issues that require resources from other areas.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 5 years related work experience
2. Associates degree
