Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is required; Masters in Business, Hospital/Health Admini! stration is required.
Certification in quality or process improvement is strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience as a senior leader in an acute care hospital setting. A working knowledge of hospital operations and issues is required.
Experience with providing management with quality reports; the ability to translate data into management information.
A proven leader of people with a track record of attracting and developing an outstanding team of managers and achieving results through the abilities of others.
Experience with the continuum of care beyond the hospital (nursing homes, home health, physician practices, etc.).
A creative problem solver with the willingness to take the initiative in leading change as well as the ability to effectively manage change.
An uncompromising commitment to the value of staff involvement in decision making and finding solutions to future challenges.
Q! ualifications
Leads, organization in creating a culture of! continuous improvement and compliance to regulatory directives. Educates leadership of key regulatory issues and keep them abreast of developments affecting the organization.
Provides guidance, direction and supervision to directors and managers within areas of responsibility. Holds directors and other management personnel accountable for achieving yearly goals and maintaining the organizational values.
Collaborates with CMO, Peer Review and other physician issues.
Oversees preparation of regular reports, to include Core Measures.
Ensures efficient use of resources, in particular the efficient care management of patients, while meeting safety, regulatory and payer requirements.
Fosters a culture of patient safety and provide overall leadership on patient safety issues.
Monitors potential risks and take proactive actions to minimize legal and financial exposures.
Hires leaders who share the organization¿s value! s. Creates an environment where critical thinking and initiative are encouraged. Develops leaders to become high performing individuals.
Works with corporate executives to achieve corporate-wide goals in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
Creates an environment where employees feel free to express their beliefs.
Leads continuous improvement process and facilitates departmental improvement planning and executive. Collaborates with CMO on clinical quality improvement initiatives. Supports Operational Excellence on organization-wide process re-engineering and system changes.
Instill a culture of customer service orientation to all employees.
