Position Summary:
The Patient Flow Specialist is responsible for appropriate placement for patient admissions; coordinating and expediting admissions/transfers and overcoming delays and obstacles. This position works in conjunction with the physician and/or staff to prioritize admissions based on medical needs. Work situations require self-direction, motivation, organization, and interpretation of information relating to a wide variety of policies, procedures, and programs. Decision making is required within the scope of this position’s responsibilities. Internal contacts include all management and staff of hospital units, and require strong communication skills to maximize efficiency and expediting the admission process.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of five years progressive clinical experience, critical care preferred
Previous management and/or Utilization/ Case Management experience ! preferred

Education/Licenses/Certifications: Active Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Washington
BSN preferred (Nursing or related Health Care field acceptable)
Certification in a specialty area preferred
CPR certification required
ACLS preferred
