Providence is calling a Part-time Volunteer Services Coordinator to Providence Hospice of Seattle in Seattle, WA
We are seeking a Volunteer Services Coordinator able to provide outstanding supervision of volunteers for different programs such as hospice patient care, Transitions, Stepping Stones, and other programs as needed.
This is a part-time position (0.50FTE/20 hours a week), day shift with benefits.Some evenings and weekends required.
In this position you will! :
Supervise volunteers, providing support, information! , education, and feedback by phone, via e-mail, and in person as necessary.
Track requests for volunteers, assign volunteers to patients/clients, and tracks volunteer assignments.
Perform post-training interviews for new volunteers and enters personnel data into database.
Perform annual written evaluations of volunteer performance.
Design, write, and edit quarterly volunteer newsletter.
Required
qualifications for this position include:
Associate’s level degree (D
egree in field related to health care or social services
preferred)
Two years of experience working with health care or social service organization
Significant volunteer experience with a leadership role will be considered
Knowledge of the Medicare Conditions of Participation (COP’s), HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines as it pertains to Volunteer Services
Strong computer skills, including ! significant experience with Microsoft Office applications
Facilitation skills, end of life and volunteer experience
Preferred
qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree,
degree in field related to health care or social services
Experience coordinating volunteer programs
Experience working with databases/database management (Microsoft Access)
