Description: EvergreenHealth Hospital-Main Campus is presently looking of RN-Evergreen Surgical Center right now, this occupation will be placed in Washington. Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. Coordinates the patient and family education process. Practices with in the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family into the process. Participates with physician partners and other i! nterdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient! and family plan of care. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
Supports the education and clinical experiences of students, nursing and medical residents, and co-workers: â¢Serves as a resource to others, â¢Serves as a preceptor/mentor to assigned personnel, â¢Shares information acquired at in-services and symposiums with co-workers during formal in-services, â¢Offers honest, constructive feedback to co-workers on job performance. REQUIREMENTS: Must possess basic skills to use Microsoft Windows, the internet, and send/receive e-mail. Demonstrates ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Demonstrates ability to communicate clinical / educational knowledge to learners (i.e., students, ! staff, patients and families).
Demonstrates skills to complete the nursing competency assessment checklist. Demonstrates knowledge of new trends and techniques in nursing. Demonstrates oral and written language skills; visual and aural skills in order to communicates, ensure and deliver safe patient care and to provide a legal record of this care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for specific age groups under his/her care (i.e., newborn, pediatric, adult, geriatric).
Performs an assessment process that includes age specific growth and development needs. Demonstrates accountability for professional nursing practice, commitment to patient care and commitment to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights. Washington State Registered Nursing License required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification by date of hire.
Minimum one year recent RN experience in an Operating Room.
