The Medical Telemetry Unit is an inpatient medical unit specializing in the care of the acutely ill patient. The unit serves young adult, mature adult, and older adult patient populations. Medical Telemetry status is indicated for patients whose care may be achieved outside of the Critical Care Unit (CCU), who require closer nursing observation, more frequent interventions and/or technical supports (continuous EKG monitoring, continuous 02 saturation monito! ring, BiPap on stable parameters). All beds have cardiac telem! etry capability. Patient care is delivered in collaboration with patients, families, and all professional disciplines.

Required Qualifications: Current WA State RN license; one year recent experience with acute care Telemetry & EKG monitor validation.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification in specialty area.
