La Conner Retirement Inn located in La Conner, Washington is seeking an experienced caregiver for day shift - starting at 6:30 AM.

Qualified candidates will have previous senior care experience, be able to work with well with others in the team and be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Preference given to candidate that has completed state required training â€" 70 hours of Basic Training, Home Care Aide Certification, CPR, Nurse Delegation, and Mental Health or has the ability to obtain this training within 30-120 days of employment.
We have several shifts available and they range from part time to full time. Please indicate what your availability is.

The Caregiver is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living. He/She provides direct hands on care in accordance with the resident's service plan and according to company policies and procedure and as may be directed.
The ideal Caregiver is a high school graduate or equivalent. One year previous assisted living/nursing experience with direct resident care is preferred but not required. He/She must have reliable transportation. The applicant must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Provide general attention to residents needs in accordance with an established Service Plan
-- Provide companionship for the resident including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing! social and emotional support
-- Promote the resident’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
-- Provide emotional support and promote a sense of well-being
-- Provide for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents and family members
-- Provide light housekeeping tasks including laundering of resident’s garments and linens
-- May prepare and serve meals as directed. Ensure that dishes are washed and kitchen is clean after each meal
-- Ensures the overall health and safety of the residents
-- Observe and report any changes in the resident’s mental, physical, or emotional condition to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
-- Establish and maintain effective communication and a professional relationship with residents, family members, and co-workers
-- Participate in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and resident conferences as requested by immediate supervisor
-- Com! plete required documentation of services delivered and submits to offic! e in a timely manner according to policy
-- Use equipment and supplies safely and properly
-- Assist residents with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Service Plan
-- Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information
