Position Summary:
The Infection Control Practitioner is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the MultiCare Health System Infection Control Program. This position is required to develop, analyze, and interpret a variety of information relating to infection control surveillance, policies, procedures, staff education, practices, and regulatory mandates, requiring independent decision-making and analytical problem solving.

Minimum Requirements:
If RN: Minimum 2 years and current clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting
If Medical Technologist: Minimum of 5 years experience in infection control in acute and ambulatory care, adult and pediatrics

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Valid license to practice nursing in the State of Washington
Certification in Infection Control (preferred) or att! ainment of certification within 2 years of hire
OR
BS,! MT(ASCP) with a focus in microbiology
Certification in Infection Control (preferred) or attainment of certification within 2 years of hire
