Description: Seattle Children's Hospital is at the momment seeking for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - PALS Required - Pain Medicine right now, this vacancy will be placed in Washington. Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical manage! ment of patients on the inpatient pain service, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Help ensure consistent service is provided by all members on the service while practicing evidence based care. Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. Direct or participate in case management and continuing care. May include some work in ambulatory settings. Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high quality care. Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects. Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.

Requirements:
Required: - Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nu! rse practitioner program. - Active, unencumbered registered nu! rse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington. - Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner OR Graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program, active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and active, unencumbered physician assistant, certified, licensure in the State of Washington. Either NP or PA must have: - Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration. - Current PALS certification. - Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider, Seattle Children's Hospital. - Minimum of 1-2 years work experience as an NP, PA or RN in a pediatric acute care clinical setting. Preferred: - Two years experience in a nurse practitioner or physician assistant role caring for children.
