We are looking for a seasoned Nurse Recruiter who is well connected in the healthcare community and knows where and how to find well qualified and experienced nurses.

UW Medicine - Northwest Hospital & Medical Center needs a Nurse Recruiter to bring best-in-class talent into the hospital and outpatient clinics. The Nurse Recruiter must have a deep understanding of the nursing disciplines and skills within an acute care health system, particularly in the areas of ICU/CCU, SCU, Telemetry, Surgical, Oncology, Ortho, CBC, EP and Cath Lab, Medical and Emergency Department.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Working with unit managers, nursing directors, CNO and the Human Resources Team to identify and fill nursing gaps (We’re looking for someone to “own”, business maturity is a key desired trait)

Developing, driving and executing comprehensive search strategies designed to recruit experience nurses and niche candidates in highly competitive healthcare systems â€" including development of recruitment plans, launching effective strategies and understanding each candidate’s needs.

Providing strategic consulting, influencing and pa! rtnership skills to the hiring managers including presenting them with well qualified candidates.
Networking and maintaining relationships with key candidate communities for short and/or long-term opportunities

Qualifications:
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Valid Washington State driver’s license. PHR preferred. Current RN licensure in state of Washington preferred.

Special Training/Skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to deal effectively with a diverse population. Self-motivated. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Work Experience
Three to five years recent experience as an employment specialist/recruiter or Registered Nurse in the healthcare industry or healthcare setting required. Business Administration and/or Human Resources background preferred. Working knowledge of EEO, labor laws and ! regulations affecting employment preferred.

Physical Abilities!
Must be able to ambulate throughout the hospital and at recruitment functions. Typically works at a desk for up to four hours at a time with frequent customer contact and interruptions. Frequently escorts applicants to other locations of the facility to meet with Department Managers. Must have the ability to drive an automobile for recruitment activities. Ability to maneuver large recruitment displays .
