Description: State of Washington is presently looking of On-call School Nurse (LPN or RN) right now, this position will be placed in Washington. On-Call School Nurse Opening for an on-call School Nurse (LPN or RN) to provide comprehensive health care to students enrolled and attending school at Washington School! for the Deaf (WSD). WSD is a residential school for deaf and hard of hearing students. The nurse operates independently, under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor and the Contracted Physician, observing regulations of the nursing practice and school policies.
Duties:
On-call shifts vary from 4 â€" 12 hours depending on the day and needs of the Student Health Center. Student Health Services include drop-in urgent and emergent care, administering regularly scheduled medication, health teaching and counseling, and other services as required for the pre K â€" 12 th grade population.
Qualifications:
- State of Washington Nursing License.
- Experience working with children in an education or healthcare environment.
- Ability to take direction from the Supervising Nurse and work collaboratively as well as independently.
- American Sign Language (ASL) skills strongly preferred.
Must be able to pass FBI criminal background c! heck.
