Description: Overlake Hospital is employing Respiratory Care Practitioner I, II, or III right now, this vacancy will be placed in Washington. This Part-Time Position is responsible for providing respiratory assessment, support, treatment and/or diagnostic tests for adult , pediatric, and infant! (level III Nursery) patients. Areas include critical care, floor care, emergency room, or outpatients as needed. Also responsible for learning and performing any appropriate department functions that may be delegated by the manager.

Every year since the award's inception in 2003, our department has earned the Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) designation. This national designation from the AARC is aimed at helping patients and families make informed decisions about the quality of a hospital's respiratory care services. We also have been recognized by the IHI for being over one year with zero VAP cases. The Respiratory Care Practitioners at Overlake Hospital have created very good collegial working relationships with nursing, physicians and all health care team members; we truly believe in multiple disciplinary teams. We currently work in a brand new CCU / ER with state of art ventilators (standardized to one type for adults and one for neonates). We prov! ide additional on-site training as needed, mainly with our 2 R! espiratory Care Clinical Specialists. Our goal is to provide the best quality care to our patients as possible. We believe in "Medical Excellence Everyday".

Respiratory Care Practitioner IIs and IIIs are strongly preferred.

Level II Practitioners require Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) status and are paid at one salary grade higher than Level I Practitioners.

Level III Practitioners require RRT status, plus a current Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) credential

or

Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) credential from the NBRC upon hire, and Neonatal Pediatric Resuscitate (NPR) certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of start date.

Level III Practitioners are paid at two salary grades higher than Level I Practitioners.

All candidates

must be CRT graduates of an accredited two-year respiratory care school. Must also be licensed in good ! standing with the Washington State Dept of Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and have current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Must either have or obtain ACLS certification within 1 year on start date (We have training on site). Must also be NRP certified by the American Heart Association within 6 months. We expect all new graduates to be RRT within one year of graduation from a respiratory care program.
