Position Summary:
The
Corporate Regional Health Services Consultant ( CRHSC) will office out of our
Corporate location in Redmond and will be an active member of the Corporate
Team in overall planning, program design, and staff development. He/She will also be responsible for
providing support services to the Health Service Directors/ Lead Community
Nurses ( HSD) for the Washington communities under the direction of ! the Chief
Wellness Officer utilizing the resident care sys! tems, policies and procedures
of Aegis Living.
Responsibilities:
Participate
as a member of the Corporate Team and serves as the WA Regulation Expert. Is
knowledgeable of the licensing regulations and identifies citable situations.
Supports
educational outreach for WA and CA as needed.
Review
licensing deficiencies related to health services. Assists the WA communities in developing Plans
of Correction and as needed, assists in implementing the Plan of
Correction.
Make
frequent visits to each assigned community to meet with the HSD, assesses the
community utilization of the resident
care systems and assists the HSD with corrections of problems.
Conduct
follow up investigations as needed on any non-employee unusual occurrences
related to resident care, medications, or health services.
Monitor
the Assessment/Service plan process to ensure that service fees are ! assigned in
an accurate and timely manner, and that each resident has a current and
accurate service plan.
Interview
candidates for the communities’ nursing positions by providing input to the
Executive Director to assist in the selection.
Organize
orientation schedule for each new HSD. Conduct
conference calls with the HSD’s in the assigned communities. Organize and conduct routine HSD meetings.
Provide
education and support services to the GM, Care Directors and the community
staff members as needed in the area of assigned responsibilities. Will be
involved in the Quality Assurance process.
Requirements:
Ability
to act as the WA regulation expert, is knowledgeable of and has experience with
the WA State Regulations.
Minimum
of three years of experience working as Regional Health Services Consultant in
the assisted living or skilled nursing field
Experie! nce
and skill in working with persons with Dementia.
Abili! ty
to provide medication administration.
Outstanding
written and verbal communication skills.
Ability
to work diplomatically and harmoniously with community and corporate
staff.
Ability
to maintain confidentiality.
Ability
to travel to assigned communities and to attend meetings outside the assigned
geographic area. Overnight and air
travel may be required.
Education
ARNP
preferred. WA RN or BSN required.
