Job Summary: Responsible for a variety of duties including surgical, safety, core and anesthesia duties. Essential Job Functions: 1. Assists in Operating Room case preparation, set-up and turnover.

2. Assists in sterilization and cleaning of instruments and equipment. 3. Assists in the maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment.

4. Awareness of location of appropriate safety equipment and plans. 5. Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability.

Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes. Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals and values. 6. Responsible for the “Accountabilities” associated with this position in support of the organization.

7. Performs other duties as assigned. Competencies: • Must utilize HST system application for surgical cases ! and surgeon preference cards. • Assists operating room personnel with room preparation, turnover and clean-up; prepares supplies for cases and assists SPD whenever necessary.

License, Certification, Education or Experience: REQUIRED for the position: • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to become certified within six months of employment. • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire • Must have oral and written language skills, visual and listening skills in order to communicate, ensure and delivery of safe patient care and to provide. • Must have necessary knowledge and training to care for the specific age group under his or her care. • Must be able to perform tasks that include age specific growth and development needs.

• Must have the ability to be self-directed within his/her scope of practice. • Must be able to lift, turn, transfer, and position patients and move/lift heavy equipment/suppli! es. DESIRED for the position: • High school diploma or equivalent • 6 months of previous experience in Surgical Services
