Description: ProCure is in need of Radiation Therapist - Seattle Center, SCCA Proton Therapy right now, this job will be placed in Washington. Reporting to the Radiation Therapy Manager, the incumbent delivers proton therapy treatments to patients in the ProCure Proton Treatment Center and adheres to all policies and procedures governing the high quality and compassionate delivery of radiation therapy treatments / simulations. The Radiation Therapist will work in cooperation with other team members to assure all treatment procedures are delivered accurately, with compassion and according to the MD prescription provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES  Performs daily proton treatments and / or simulation procedures.  Works as an engaged team member in their assigned area.  Works with care team to provide high quality, compassionate and consistent care.  Follows all policies, protocols and procedures.  Helps maintain work area to JCAHO standards and helps maintain proper supplies stock in the treatment area.  Maintains efficient schedule by cooperating with team members and maintaining good workflow processes.  Always places patient care first.  Reports any equipment problems to engineering staff promptly, and assists, if required, to investigate problem.  Provides feedback to Manager on any process improvement opportunities.  Maintains positive relationships with other team members, nursing, dosimetry, physics, physicians, administration, partner hospitals, engineering., etc  Assures procedures performed, are code captured accurately in Mosaiq.  Reviews patient electronic charts for accuracy and completeness.  Works with patients to provide convenient appointment schedules.  Compiles reports of any deviations in planned treatment delivery and notifies Manager immediately.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 One year experience as a certified Radiation Therapist preferred  Experience working in proton therapy a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Â Experience with modern radiation therapy systems and sub-systems. Â Experience performing simulation, pre-treatment imaging and treatment delivery procedures. Â Computer skills including -Mosaiq or Aria record & verify experience, Excel, Outlook, Word. Â Able to multitask. Â Technical problem solving. Â Understands code capture procedures / requirements. Â Provide excellent care for all patients, regardless of age, race, sexual orientation or religion. Â Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Â Ability to travel for educational / training purposes. Â Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs of equipment or weight of patient in wheelchair transfer. Â Physical ability to reach 6 feet above the floor. Â Able to walk for majority of shift.

EDUCATION/DEGREE  Bachelor degree preferred  ARRT current certification, with full CE compliance.
OTHER Â Exposures to hazardous risks include radiation exposure (under the ALARA principle), potential exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment and chemicals. Potential for bodily injury due to lifting. Required to follow universal precautions. Exposure to cleaning / sterilization agents. Hazards will be minimal if proper safety precautions are utilized. Work is mainly performed in an area with no natural light, and in close proximity to other team members. Â ProCure utilizes RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) tags at the centers for the purposes of analysis of productivity and patient throughput.
